Why do I support PBS Newshour? Like many of my friends I have been watching PBS newshour since Mcneil and Lehrer started it in 1975 as a non-sensestiona lobjective news program with indepth coverage of a wide range of topics , more like BBC. Since Judy Woodruff and Gwen Ifill took over PBS newshour it expanded in scope–with undertold stories, and became more enriched. I have always looked forward to listening to the friday round up of Mark Schields and David Brooks, and reporting by Jeffrey Brown, Miles Obrien, Paul Salmon among others.
