Uma’s Sari Exhibition at the Textile Museum Washington DC

Sari, a traditional attire in India. is one of the most beautiful national dresses. Modest and elegant, Indian saris have a rich tradition of textile design, with unique fabrics, textures, colors and motives particular to the different cultural heritages of India. I had the pleasure in watching Indian weavers create these attractive attires and over the years collected them from different parts of India. They were my daily attire while I worked at the World Bank for nearly three decades. So here is a portion of that collection. Some of it was donated to the textile museum in Washington.
